CHAPTER 296.

AN ACT to add a section to follow Section 478 of Article 24
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland as codified
by John W. Staton and legalized by the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1914, and amended by virtue of Chapter
212 of the Acts of 1918, title "Worcester County." sub-
title "Witness," to be designated as Section 478-A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a section to follow Section 478 of Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland as codified by John W.
Staton and legalized by the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1914, and by virtue of Chapter 212 of the Acts of 1918, title
"Worcester County," sub-title "Witness," to be designated
as Section 478-A, be and the same is hereby, added to said
Article to read as follows:

478-A. Whenever the County Surveyor of Worcester
County shall be required to attend in his official capacity as a
witness before the Circuit Court for Worcester County or any
other Court in the State of Maryland, he shall be entitled to
receive for each day he shall attend as such witness the sum
of five dollars and his actual and necessary traveling expenses
to and from said Court; and for all other services required of
him in his official capacity he shall be entitled to receive the
sum of five dollars per day and his actual and necessary
expenses connected therewith.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1920.

CHAPTER 297.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
392, 394, 395 and 400 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland as codified by John W. Staton
and legalized by the General Assembly of Maryland of
1914 and amended by virtue of Chapter 212 of the Acts of
1918, title "Worcester County," sub-title "Snow Hill."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 392, 394, 395 and 400 of Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland as codified by John W.
Staton and legalized by the General Assembly of Maryland
