SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on and after June 1st, 1920.

CHAPTER 269.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Caroline County to levy four thousand ($4,000) dol-
lars for the repair of the road between the towns of
Preston and Choptank, Caroline County.

WHEREAS, The present condition of the road between the
towns of Preston and Choptank, in Caroline County, needs
repair; and

WHEREAS, The abutting property owners and the said towns
are willing to contribute one thousand ($1,000) dollars for
such repair; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Caroline County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to include four
thousand ($4,000) dollars in the levy for 1920, for the repair
of the road between the towns of Preston and Choptank, in
said county, a distance of approximately three miles; the said
road when repaired to be a shell road. Provided, however,
that said County Commissioners shall not expend the above
four thousand ($4,000) dollars upon said road until after the
property owners along said road and residents of Preston and
Choptank have placed in the hands of the County Treasurer
the sum of one thousand ($1,000) dollars, which sum of one
thousand ($1,000) dollars shall be expended by the County
Commissioners in the repair of said road.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 270.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Maryland Tobacco
Growers' Association incorporated by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, at its session of 1906, so as to change
the place of the principal office from the State Agricul-
tural College to the City of Baltimore, or such other place
within the State of Maryland, as the said corporation ma7
determine.
