thereof or five of said bonds shall mature on the first day of
July, 1924. and that five hundred dollars of said bond shall
fall due and be payable on each and every first of July follow-
ing until all of said bonds shall have been paid off and re-
deemed, that is to say, that bonds numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
shall be due and payable on the first day of July, 1924; bonds
Nos. 6, 7. 8. 9 and 10 shall be due and payable on the first day
of July, 1925, and so on according to their consecutive num-
bers until the whole shall have been paid and redeemed, and
whenever any bond or bonds shall have been paid or redeemed
it or they shall be cancelled and destroyed by the Commission-
ers of Hurlock, and a note thereof made on the minute book
of the office.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That when the said bonds shall
be properly prepared and duty executed, as herein prescribed,
the said "The Commissioners of Hurlock" shall advertise the
same in two newspapers published in Dorchester County, if
they shall deem it advisable, inviting sealed proposals for the
purchase of said bonds, or any part thereof, with the privilege
to the said Commissioners to reject any and all bids, together
with such interest, if any, as may have accrued from the first
day of July, 1920, the date of said bonds.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That "The Commissioners of
Hurlock" are hereby authorized, empowered and required to
levy annually upon the assessable property of the town of Hur-
lock a tax sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds by them
to be issued in pursuance of this Act, and are also authorized,
empowered and required to levy annually upon the assessable
property of said town a tax sufficient to pay the principal of
said bonds, as they respectively mature and fall due. The tax
hereby authorized is for the special purpose herein stated, and
is in addition to the tax levied for general purposes as au-
thorized by the charter of the town of Hurlock aforesaid.
