to by the presidents of the said respective boards at the end
of each and every fiscal year; said sworn statements to be
published in two newspapers published in Garrett County.

SECTION 2. Violation of this Act on the part of any of
the aforesaid officials shall render them liable to a penalty of
not less than fifty dollars and not more than one hundred
dollars.

SECTION 3. All Acts of parts of Acts in conflict with this
Act are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 16.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 214
of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Somerset County," sub-title "Revenues and
Taxes," by providing that the premium on the bond of
the County Treasurer shall be paid by the County Com-
missioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
kind, That Section 214 of Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-title "Revenues
and Taxes," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments to read as follows:

214. That the said Treasurer, before he enters upon the
duties of his said office, shall take an oath before the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Somerset County that he will faith-
fully perform the duties of the same, and he shall also execute
a bond to the State of Maryland, in the penalty of fifty thou-
sand dollars, for the faithful performance of his duties as
Treasurer and as Clerk to the County Commissioners of
Somerset County, and further conditioned that he shall well
and truly account and be liable for any and all moneys com-
ing into his possession as Treasurer and Collector, for which
he shall be answerable by law, which bond shall be secured by
a fidelity or security company qualified to act as surety or
guarantor under the laws of the State of Maryland and shall
be approved by the Judges of the Circuit Court for Somerset
County, or a majority of them and thereafter be recorded in
the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for said county;
