to the payment of the interest on said bonds and to their
redemption as and when they mature.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
shall, when notified by the Board of. Education of Allegany
County that they desire to avail themselves of the provisions
of this Act and of the approximate amount of money that they
will require for the purpose aforesaid, advertise and sell said
bonds as above provided or so many thereof as shall be neces-
sary to produce the sum designated by the Board of Educa-
tion of Allegany County, but in no event shall the credit of the
county be pledged to an amount in excess of seven hundred
thousand dollars ($700,000.00), and the County Commis-
sioners shall pay over the entire proceeds of the sale of said
bonds to said Board of Education of Allegany County, who
shall account for the same and the expenditures thereof in the
same manner as they account for other moneys passing through
their hands.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the proceeds of the afore-
said bonds when issued, shall be used for purchasing school
sites, for the erection of.new buildings, for additions to old
buildings, for alterations, changes, paving, equipping, walling
grounds and for improving the sanitation in the following
localities in Allegany County to the extent of the amount or
so much thereof as may be necessary as specified in each and
every of the following localities: Lindnerville $50,000.00,
Flintstone $65,000.00, Pennsylvania Avenue (Cumberland)
$60,000.00, Centre Street (Cumberland) $5,000.00, Colored
Public School (Cumberland) $55,000.00, Eckhart $5,000.00,
Luke, $10,000.00, Columbia Street (Cumberland) $20,000.00,
Beall High and Grammar School (Frostburg) $40,000.00, Cen-
tral High and Grammar (Lonaconing) $25,000.00, Barton
$15,000.00, Westernport $95,000.00, Cumberland $185,000.00,
Midland $5,000.00.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the sum of $65,-
000.00 or so much thereof as may be necessary shall be used
for emergencies and variations in cost of estimates in the
aforesaid localities.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That if for any reason
whatsoever there should be a surplus of funds left after all
expenditures have been made in keeping with terms of this
Act, the same shall be paid back to the Board of County Com-
