pointed shall receive a salary of eighteen hundred dollars per
annum to be paid in regular monthly installments as the bail-
iffs of said Court are now paid.

CHAPTER 174.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 15 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent County,"
under a new sub-title "Orphans' Court," providing for
the amount of the per diem to be received by the Judges
of the Orphans' Court of Kent County, for their attend-
ance upon the session of said Court and for the mileage
to be received by said Judges in going to and returning
from said sessions, said new section to follow immediately
after Section 166 of said Article 15 and to be known and
designated as Section 166A, and to repeal all other Acts
or parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act, solely to the extent that said Acts or parts of Acts
affect the amount of the per diem and mileage to be re-
ceived by the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Kent
County, for their attendance upon the sessions of said
Court.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Kent County," under a new sub-title "Orphans'
Court," said new section to follow immediately after Section
166 of said Article 15., and to be known and designated as
Section 166A and to read as follows:

166A. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Kent County,
shall each receive the sum of seven dollars ($7.00) for every
day's attendance upon the sessions of said Court, to be paid
by the County Commissioners of said Kent County in quar-
terly payments, and in addition thereto there shall be paid to
the said Judges the sum of five cents (5c) per mile for each
mile traveled by them in going to and returning from the said
sessions of Orphans' Court, to be paid by the said County
Commissioners of Kent County, upon the certificates of the
Register of Wills for said county; provided, that no Judge
