of said bonds, levy a tax on the assessable property of the said
town of not exceeding fifteen cents on the one hundred dol-
lars, which taxes so levied shall be kept in a separate account
as a sinking fund to pay said bonds as they mature, and the
interest thereon, and no part of the same shall be diverted to
any other purpose.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Mayor and City
Council of Laurel is hereby empowered to do all acts and
things necessary to issue and sell said bonds, including the
right to register said bonds, in their discretion.
SEC. 5. "And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act contained is intended or shall be taken or construed as
relieving the Mayor and City Council of Laurel from any
and all provisions of Chapter 180 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, 1910, known as the Public Service
Commission law, or any amendments thereto, to the extent
that the same may apply to municipal electric light, heat and
power plants."

CHAPTER 173.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 93
of Chapter 334 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, 1918, entitled An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments Section 93 and Section 96 of the Re-
vised Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County of
1915 as compiled by T. Scott Offutt increasing the salary
of the Court Stenographer.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 93 of Chapter 334 of the Acts of 1918, en-
titled An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
93 and Section 96 of the Revised Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore County of 1915 as compiled by T. Scott Offutt,
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments so as to read as follows:
93. The Circuit Court for Baltimore County be and it is
hereby authorized to employ a Court Stenographer, who shall
be a sworn officer of the Court, and such stenographer so ap-
