due for such water rents or charges in a Record Book to be
called "The Water Lien Record," to be kept in the office of
the Board of Water Commissioners for that purpose, show-
ing the folio on which said lien is so entered therein.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect, from the first day of June, 1920.

CHAPTER 171.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Mount Airy,
a municipal corporation in Carroll and Frederick Coun-
ties, to issue bonds to an amount not exceeding twenty-
two thousand dollars for the purpose of obtaining a water
supply for the town of Mount Airy and of resurfacing
or improving that part of the streets of Mount Airy
known as Baker street leading from the railroad crossing
formerly known as the "Y" to the intersection of Main
street near the residence of Dr. E. M. Willard; also of
resurfacing and improving Park avenue.
WHEREAS, By authority of an Act of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at its January Session, 1918, known as
Chapter 449, the Mayor and Council of Mount Airy, in Car-
roll and Frederick Counties did borrow and issue bonds to the
amount of eighteen thousand dollars for the purpose of im-
proving Main street in said town, and of obtaining a water
supply for said town of Mount Airy; and
WHEREAS, Said Main street has been improved with con-
crete road, and a water pipe or main laid through the business
section of the town prior to the laying of said concrete road,
but by reason of the excessive cost of labor and material the
funds in hand are found insufficient for developing the source
of water supply and completing the work as contemplated;
and in order that some benefit may be derived from the money
already invested, and in order that other sections of the town
may be given the benefit of road improvement, it is deemed
wise to negotiate a further loan ; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it exacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Mount Airy, a munici-
pal corporation in both Carroll and Frederick Counties, be
