in the Fire Department of Baltimore County any permanent
member thereof who has become permanently disabled while
in the active performance of duty or has performed faithful
service in the department for a period of not less than twenty
consecutive years, and place the member so retired upon a pen-
sion roll and to allow to each pensioner annually an amount
equal to one-half the yearly amount received by him at the
time of his retirement, payable in monthly instalments, that
no member of the Fire Department of Baltimore County shall
be so retired until he shall have been examined by the Board
of Examiners herein provided for and their finding as to the
disability assigned as reason for a retirement shall have been
certified by them to the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County; and provided that members in the service of the Fire
Department" at the time of the passage of this Act shall be
credited with the amount of time which they shall have served
in said department to the same extent as though they had
served such period in said department after the passage of
this Act.
216F. That it shall be unlawful for any person unless
duly authorized thereto by the County Commissioners of Bal-
timore County to wear uniform, badge or insignia of the
Fire Department of Baltimore County or in any manner to
interfere with, mutilate or damage any apparatus, property,
fire alarm box, wires or equipment or appurtenance of the
Fire Department of Baltimore County or in any way inter-
fere with an}' member of said department in the discharge of
his duties and any violation of this section shall be punishable
by a fine of not less than five dollars nor more than fifty dol-
lars or imprisonment for not less than five days nor more than
sixty days.
216G. It shall be unlawful for any person in the opera-
tion of any vehicle;, car, street car, automobile or truck to ob-
struct any fire engine in Baltimore County proceeding to a
fire but all such vehicles, cars, street cars, automobiles and
trucks shall immediately upon being warned of the approach
of such fire engine give the same the right of way. Any viola-
tion of this section shall be punishable by a fine of not less
than five dollars nor more than fifty dollars or by imprison-
ment for not less than five days nor more than sixty days.
216H. That the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County be and they are hereby authorized to make such
