interest on said bonds so issued, and at the expiration of five
years there shall be levied annually by the Burgess and Com-
missioners an amount sufficient to pay the interest on the said
bonds and to pa.y five hundred ($500) dollars of the principal
of said debt, and the said bonds when issued shall be made
to fall due so as to be payable as herein provided.

241-AF. The Burgess and Commissioners of Hancock are
authorized to levy taxes not exceeding twenty-five cents on the
one hundred ($100) dollars, upon the assessable property in
the town of Hancock, to pay any costs and expenses incident
to the exercise of the powers or any of them herein granted.

241-AG. The aforegoing Sections 241-AB to 241-AF in-
clusive shall not be in force and effect unless the matter of
issuing the bonds provided in said sections be submitted to a
vote of the voters of the said town of Hancock, qualified to
vote for Burgess and Commissioners of said town at any gen-
eral election, and the intention to submit the question or mat-
ter to a vote of the qualified voters shall be advertised by
printed hand bills posted in twenty conspicuous places, for at
least thirty days before said election. Said election shall be
by printed ballot, which shall indicate the voter's choice in
favor of the issue of said bonds by the words "For the Addi-
tional Water and Sewer Fund" and his disapproval of the
issue of said bonds by the words "Against the Additional
"Water and Sewer Fund." Should the matter of this bond
issue fail at any general election, it may be submitted at any
future general election.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 163.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 212
of Offutt's Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore
County published in 1916, and to add twelve new sections
to the Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, title "Fire
Department," and to be known as Sections 212A, 212B.
212C and 212D and 216A, 216B, 216C, 216D, 216E, 216F
