CHAPTER 125.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 353
of Article IV of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "City of Baltimore," relating to the compen-
sation to be paid to the Bailiff of the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 353 of Article IV of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," relating
to the compensation to be paid to the Bailiff of the Orphans'
Court of Baltimore City, be and the same is hereby repealed
^nd re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
353. The Bailiff of the said Orphans' Court of Baltimore
City shall receive seven dollars a day for each day's attend-
ance upon the said Court, payable in monthly instalments at
the end of each and every month by the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore.

CHAPTER 126.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Kent County, Maryland, to levy, at the annual levy for
the year 1920, the sum of six thousand ($6,000.00) dol-
lars, and pay the same to the Galena Building Committee
as created by Chapter 686 of the Acts of 1916, in order
that the Galena Building Committee may liquidate the
debt incurred in the erection and equipment of the pub-
lic school house at Galena. Kent County, Maryland.
WHEREAS, By Chapter 686 of the Acts of 1916, the Galena
Building Committee was authorized and directed to purchase
a lot of land in Galena, Kent County. Maryland, and there-
upon to erect and fully equip a public school house; and
WHEREAS, The Galena Building Committee, in carrying out
the provisions of said Act, did purchase said lot of land in
Galena. Kent County. Maryland, and thereupon erected and
equipped a public school house, but owing to the unexpected
high cost of building material of every kind has found that it
has a deficit of about six thousand ($6.000.00) dollars, after
