Acts of 1914, and to re-enact the same as Section 56 of
Article 10, Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Dorchester County," sub-title "Cambridge," with
amendments, and to repeal Section 57 of Chapter 694 of
the said Acts of 1912, of said Article, title and sub-title,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to enact
a new section to follow Section 58 of said Acts of 19] 2, of
said Article, title and sub-title, and to be designated as
Section 58-A of said Article, title and sub-title.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 69 of Chapter 395, of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, 1904, as repealed and re-enacted
by implication hy Section 56 of Chapter 694 of the Acts of
1912, and the Section 69 of Chapter 680 of the Acts of 1914,
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article 10,
title "Dorchester County," sub-title "Cambridge," and Sec-
tion 57 of Chapter 694 of said Acts of 1912, of said Article,
title and sub-title, be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, and that a new section to be
designated as Section 58-A to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 58 of said Article 10, of the Code of Public local Laws of
Maryland, title and sub-title, as aforesaid, be enacted, so as to
read as follows:

SECTION 56. The Commissioners of Cambridge shall an-
nually, before the last day of June, levy such sums as they
may deem sufficient to meet the running expenses of the city,
for the current year beginning July 1st and ending June 30th,
and any additional sum neecessary to pay interest on the
bonded indebtedness or any other outstanding obligation of
the city but in no year shall the tax so levied exceed sixty
cents on the one hundred dollars for current corporate uses
and purposes, and in addition thereto not exceeding the sum
of twenty cents ou the one hundred dollars for the purpose
of paying interest and providing a sinking fund for any
bonded indebtedness of the City of Cambridge, and in making
such levy they shall do so item by item, specifying the depart-
ment for which the levy is made, and the amount to be ex-
pended therein. They shall in the month of March in each
and every year by order noted in the minute book, and a copy
thereof served upon the town collector or any other official
receiving and collecting revenue for said city, requiring the
said official to make a final settlement with the town clerk
