life and fish laws of this State, he may apply to the Conserva-
tion Commission to commission such persons as he may desig-
nate to act as deputy game wardens in this State, to enforce
the game, wild life and fish laws of this State, and carry
out all the provisions of this title, such persons may be ap-
pointed for the whole State or such counties or cities as the
Conservation Commission may designate. If the Conservation
Commission approve such persons they may appoint such
persons deputy game wardens; such deputy game wardens
shall not receive a salary from the State, cities or counties,
but shall he paid such compensation out of the State Game
Protection Fund as the State Game Warden may agree with
them, subject to the approval of the Conservation Commis-
sion. In similar manner there may he appointed deputy
game wardens for the State at large or for any section of this
State, such deputy game wardens shall not receive a salary,
but shall receive as their compensation one-half of all fines
derived from the prosecution of violators of the game and
fish laws arrested by them. All deputy game wardens shall
perform other duties as the Commission may designate, in-
cluding the guarding of streams and waters of the State
against pollution.

SEC. 47. The Conservation Commission shall issue to each
person so appointed as deputy game warden a commission,
and transmit such commission to the clerk's office of the Cir-
cuit Court for the county in which the deputy game warden
so appointed has his legal residence, or to the office of the
clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City, if
residing in Baltimore City, and they may revoke and annul
any such appointment at their pleasure.

SEC. 56. All Sheriffs, Constables and Police Officers and
all the officers appointed by the Conservation Commission
shall assist in enforcing the provisions of this Article, and
shall have all the powers of a deputy game warden. The
game warden and the deputy game wardens and any other
officers shall not he liable for any damage or costs sustained
by any person or corporation by reason of the wrongful seiz-
ure of game, wild life or fish under this sub-title, or the
enforcement of any local or general game or fish law, pro-
vided, however, that the enforcement of this sub-title shall
