and the appurtenances thereof and for the construction and
operation of any pole or transmission line for the distribution
of electricity and the appurtenances thereof; and that the
said corporation shall be, and it is hereby, also authorized and
empowered to acquire and condemn the use of any such real or
personal property, rights of way, water rights, dam sites, or
any other easement, estate or right in land, needed for the
purposes hereinbefore mentioned, or any of them, in the man-
ner provided by Sections 269 and following. 273 and follow-
ing and 339 and following of Article 23 of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland; provided that the powers
herein granted with respect to the condemnation of water
rights and dam sites shall apply only to the waters of Har-
ford County, excepting, however, the Susquehanna River,
and provided further that the powers hereby granted shall
not extend to, or include the power to condemn, take or use
the water rights of any stream now in actual use for a public
purpose, to such an extent or in such a manner as to affect
or interfere with such use of same.

CHAPTER 719.

AN ACT to repeal Section 190 of Article 6 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Caroline County"
sub-title "Justices of the Peace" and "Constables" and
re-enact said Section 190 of said Article and said sub-
title, with amendments, to read as follows:—

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 190 of Article 6 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Caroline County," sub-
title "Justices of the Peace" and "Constables," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows :—

SECTION 190. The Constables of Caroline County shall be
entitled to charge for their respective services in both crim-
inal a.nd civil cases the following fees:—For serving State
warrant, and return, seventy-five cents and ten cents a mile
for each mile traveled; for serving search warrant, seventy-
five cents; for serving summons in civil suit and return, sev-
