hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to
read as follows:

193. The policeman so appointed shall be paid a salary not.
to exceed seventy-five dollars per month, and the County Com-
missioners in making the annual levy shall provi.de for the
pay of the said officer monthly. It shall be the duty of said
Commissioners to arm and equip said officer and to make such
rules and regulations for his proper conduct and discipline,
and immediately after the passage of this Act the said Com-
missioners shall designate the boundary of the territory over
which said officer appointed under the provisions of this Act
shall have jurisdiction. All Acts or parts of any Acts incon-
sistent herewith are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all payments of
salary heretofore made within said limitation of seventy-five
dollars per mouth be and the same are hereby authorized and
confirmed.

CHAPTER 696.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to borrow money for the use of
the County Board of Education for sair! county for pro-
viding certain facilities for public school purposes in said
county, and to issue bonds of said county for the money
so borrowed of the par value of sixty-four thousand
dollars.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Board of Education of Montgomery
County be and they are hereby authorized to complete the
contract heretofore issued for the reconstruction of the Pooles-
ville school, and they are hereby authorized to expend for
same a sum of money not exceeding the sum of six thousand
dollars; and also to erect and equip at Rockville a two-room
colored school and to purchase ground for same at a cost not
to exceed six thousand dollars; and to erect and equip addi-
tional rooms to the Glen Echo school at a cost not to exceed
three thousand dollars; and to make such necessary repairs to
the Bethesda school at a cost not to exceed three thousand dol-
