SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 677.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of Bagby's Anno-
tated Code of the Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title
"Corporations," sub-title "Public Service Commission.''
said new section to be known as Section 424A, and to fol-
low immediately after Section 424 of said Article, and to
provide that the said sub-title shall apply to taxicabs or
other motor vehicles used in the public transportation of
passengers and classifying said taxicabs and motor vehicles
as common carriers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be, and the same is hereby added to
Article 23 of Bagby's Annotated Code of the Public Civil
Laws of Maryland, title "Corporations," sub-title "Public
Service Commission," said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 424A, to follow immediately after Section 424 of said
Article, and to read as follows:

SEC. 424A. This sub-title shall apply to taxicabs or other
motor vehicles used in the public transportation of passengers
within the State of Maryland, and said taxicabs and motor
vehicles are hereby classified as common carriers.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all parts of Acts
conflicting or inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, are
hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 678.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 182
of the Code of Public Local Laws for Anne Arundel
County, title "County Commissioners."
