SECTION L Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to issue the bonds
of said county to the extent of twenty thousand ($20,000) dol-
lars for the completion of the High School building at Prince
Frederick, in said county. The said bonds shall be serial
coupon bonds in sums of not less than five hundred ($500)
dollars, to be signed by the President of the Board of County
Commissioners of said county and countersigned by the Clerk
of said Board: said bonds shall bear interest at a rate not
exceeding five per cent per aunum, payable semi-annually in
each and every year during which said bonds may run and
remain unpaid. The bonds shall be dated and issued so that
bonds to the extent of one thousand ($1.000) dollars shall
mature and be redeemed each year. The said County Com-
missioners are hereby authorized and directed to sell the said
bonds to the best advantage, at public sale, at such time and
upon such notice as they may deem expedient, provided, how-
ever, that they shall not sell any of said bonds at less than
par.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of said county shall levy each year taxes sufficient
to pay the interest on all of said bonds outstanding and to
redeem the bonds as they mature and become payable.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the funds derived
from the sale of said bonds shall be paid over to the Board
of School Commissioners of Calvert County, to be used by
said Commissioners for the completion of the High School
Building in Prince Frederick.

CHAPTER 68.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Salisbury to
borrow one hundred thousand dollars, and to issue bonds
for the payment of the same for the purpose of making
certain public improvements in the City of Salisbury,
Maryland, after first having submitted the question of
issuing said bonds for such improvements to the quali-
