WHEREAS, He afterwards studied under and rode with Dr.
T. M. Wilson, a veterinary physician and surgeon, in active
practice in the State of Pennsylvania for over two years and
until he became and was qualified and authorized to practice
Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in the State of Pennsyl-
vania ; and
WHEREAS, He thereafter practiced his profession in the State
of Pennsylvania until the year 1898, when he removed to
Maryland, and has since been in active practice of Veterinary
Medicine and Surgery for a livelihood in Carroll and Fred-
erick Counties of the State of Maryland; and
WHEREAS, The Public General Laws of this State make no
provision for a Veterinary Physician and Surgeon who is not
a graduate of a medical college, being registered by the State
Veterinary Medical Board, and receiving its certificate author-
izing him to practice his profession in this State, and it is
deemed proper for the said Andrew R. Hitchcock to be so reg-
istered and receive such certificate; therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Veterinary Medical Board be and it is hereby au-
thorized and directed to enter upon its register of persons
qualified to practice Veterinary Medicine and Surgery the
name of Andrew R. Hitchcock, of Frederick County, Mary-
land, and to issue to him its certificate'to practice Veterinary
Medicine and Surgery in the State of Maryland, upon the
payment of its usual and customary registration fees.

CHAPTER 669.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Worcester
County," sub-title "Sheriff," to be designated as 237, to
provide for the payment of additional compensation to the
Sheriff of Worcester County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 24 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Worcester
County," sub-title "Sheriff," to be designated as 237, to
