ing hereby vested in the trustees to determine and act in this
respect. No gift, devise or bequest shall be deemed to consti-
tute the body corporate a trustee, but shall be deemed to be
given to the body corporate for the corporate purposes which
are expressed or implied in Section 2 of this Act, nor shall
any gift, devise or bequest be deemed to be contrary to the
rule against perpetuities as now or hereafter established in
Maryland. In the event that the said body corporate shall at
any time be dissolved by statute or by decree of court, all the
funds of said body corporate shall thereupon become vested
in the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, which shall hold
the fund, and said fund shall be distributed by the said Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore acting through trustees ap-
pointed as hereinbefore provided for the same purposes and
with the same powers and duties as are herein granted to said
body corporate, and subject to the same rights of inspection
and judicial control as are hereinafter provided for the said
body corporate.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted. That an annual report
shall be made by the trustees of the principal and income of the
said body corporate, which report shall be printed and shall be
distributed to such institutions and persons as may apply for
the same. The said report, or a printed copy thereof, shall
also be submitted to the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Baltimore and shall, in condensed form, if deemed advis-
able, be advertised at least once in each daily newspaper in the
City of Baltimore. The accounts of the trustees shall be an-
nually .a.udited by an independent auditor, who shall examine
all books and securities of the body corporate. The Attorney
General of the State of Maryland, the State's Attorney of Bal-
timore City, and each of the persons herein authorized to ap-
point a trustee, shall have at all reasonable times, in person or
by representative, the right to inspect the books, vouchers, rec-
ords and securities of the body corporate, and each of said
officials and authorities shall have the right to institute pro-
ceedings in any court having chancery jurisdiction in the
City of Baltimore for the purpose of correcting any erroneous
or wrongful act of the said body corporate.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the trustees of the
said body corporate shall serve without compensation, as an
honorable service to the community, but the reasonable com-
