CHAPTER 595.

AN ACT authorizing and directing the County Board of
Education of Charles County to pay to Genevieve M.
Gardiner, a school teacher, in said County, the sum of
one hundred ($100) dollars for each of the school years
1916-1917 and 1917-1918.

WHEREAS, Genevieve M. Gardiner filed with the State Board
of Education application for professional rating in June,
1916; and

WHEREAS, Subsequently, the said Genevieve M. Gardiner
was given a first grade rating, but due to the loss or mis-
placing of correspondence with the State Board of Education,
this rating was not secured until the year 1918; and

WHEREAS, under the schedule of salaries fixed by the laws
of this State, the said Genevieve M. Gardiner was deprived
of one hundred ($100) dollars per school year; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it Enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Board of Education of Charles
County be and it is hereby authorized and directed to pay
to Genevieve M. Gardiner the sum of one hundred ($100) dol-
lars for each of the school years 1916-1917 and 1917-1918 out
of any funds now in the hands of said Board.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

Approved April 16. 1920.

CHAPTER 596.

AN ACT to add six additional sections to Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County, sub-title, "Upper Marl-
boro," as enacted by Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1902, as
codified by Chapter 22 of the Acts of 1912, said additional
sections to immediately follow Section 610 of said Code,
and to be designated as Sections 610-A to 610-F, inclu-
sive.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the following six new sections be added to
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, sub-
