1196 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 594.

apply for a period of two years, one-half of the receipts from
dog licenses in said County, imposed by Sections 195 to 201
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, after the
payment of all damages done by dogs, as therein provided,
for aiding in the erection of the Colored Industrial School,
at La Plata, in said county. The remaining receipts from
dog licenses shall be expended in accordance with provisions
of Section 199 of said Article 81, for the public schools or
public roads, as said Commissioners may direct.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after the first day of June, 1920.

CHAPTER 594.

AN ACT to authorize the County Board of Education of
Charles County to use, in its discretion, for the repair
of school buildings or the erection of a new building or
new buildings for white children in said County, the
eight thousand ($8,000) dollars appropriated by Chap-
ter 445 of the Acts of 1918, for a high school for white
children in said County, the said eight thousand ($8,000)
dollars now being in the hands of said Board.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Board of Education of Charles
County be, and it is, hereby authorized to use, in its discre-
tion, for the repair of school buildings or for the erection
of a new school building or new school buildings for white
children, in said County, the eight thousand ($8,000) dollars
appropriated by Chapter 445 of the Acts of 1918 for a high
school building for white children, in said County, the said
eight thousand ($8,000) dollars now being in the hands of
the said Board.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.
