the approval of the State Board of Education, sites for
and building certain new school houses therein, said bonds
to be issued from time to time, in their joint discretion,
and to authorize the County Commissioners to levy the
necessary amount to pay the interest on said bonds as
issued, and to create a sinking fund for the payment of
the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That whenever the Board of Education of Prince
George's County shall think it advisable to acquire, with the
approval of the State Board of Education, site for and build
a school house, they may, by resolution, request the County
Commissioners of said county to issue the bonds of said county
to pay for the same, and if the County Commissioners of said
county concur in the advisability of issuing such bonds for
such purpose, they may, by resolution, order that the same
shall be issued as hereinafter provided, but the total amount
of bonds issued hereunder shall not exceed the sum of two
hundred thousand ($200,000) dollars, and the proceeds there-
of shall only be spent in accordance with the provisions hereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That when the Board
of Education of Prince George's County shall receive from
the County Commissioners their order, as provided for in
Section 1 hereof, and not before, the said Board of Education
of Prince George's County shall be authorized to borrow on
endorsement of the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County, who are hereby directed to endorse such bonds on
the faith and credit of said county, such amounts, or any of
them, or all of them, if the same are named in the original
resolution of said Board of Education and the order of the
County Commissioners, not to exceed a total of two hundred
thousand ($200,000) dollars for the construction, re-construc-
tion and improvement of public schools in Prince George's
County and for the purchase of land as sites for such schools.
The said Board of Education is thereupon authorized to
issue coupon bonds therefor in denominations of not less than
one hundred ($100) dollars and not more than one thousand
($1,000) dollars each to be signed by the President of said
Board of Education of Prince George's County and counter-
signed by the County Superintendent of Schools with the
seal of said Board attached, provided that the coupons for the
