1164 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 576

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 6 of Chapter 38 of the Acts of 1917,
of the Public Local Laws for Anne Arundel County, title,
"Justices of the Peace," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, Math amendments, so as to sead as follows:

SEC. 6. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, Tha't the Police Justice of the Fourth Election District
of Anne Arundel County, for his services in criminal cases,
shall receive from the County Commissioners the sum of
Forty ($40.00) Dollars per month, payable in cash, or by levy
equivalent to cash, on the day of his making his report, as
hereinbefore provided; and he shall not receive directly or
indirectly, any other fees or compensation in criminal cases,
or cases of violation of any of the laws of this State; and
all fees of constables for services of process in criminal cases
in the Fourth District shall be paid to the County Com-
missioners.

CHAPTER 576.

AN ACT to authorize and empower "The Cambridge Female
Seminary," a corporation of the State of Maryland, to
sell and dispose of all its real estate and to convey the
same unto the purchaser thereof by deed, the proceeds
of said sale to be applied to the erection of a new High
School building in the town of Cambridge, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That "The Cambridge Female Seminary," a body
corporate of the State of Maryland, be and it is hereby author-
ized and empowered to sell and dispose of all its real estate,
either at private or public sale, for such price and upon such
terms as it may deem judicious, and to convey the same unto
the purchaser thereof, by deed duly executed and acknowl-
edged; provided that the proceeds of said sale shall be paid
over by the said corporation or by the stockholders thereof,
to the Board of Education of Dorchester County, its succes-
sor or successors, to be expended by the said Board of Educa-
tion of Dorchester County for the purpose of purchasing a
suitable site in the town of Cambridge, and of erecting on said
site a High School building, the entire proceeds of the sale
