Fowl," as amended by Chapter 863 of the Acts of 1914;
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 218 of
Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title, "Kent
County," sub-title, "Wild Fowl," and to add nine new
sections to Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title, "Kent County," sub-title, "Wild Fowl," to fol-
low Section 217 and to be designated Sections 217-A,
217B, 217-C, 217-D, 217-E, 217-F, 217-G, 217-H and 217-I.

CHAPTER 559.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 740
of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (Revised Edition of 1915), title, "City of Balti-
more," sub-title, "Police Commissioners," providing for
the appointment of a single Police Commissioner, fixing
his compensation and term of office and defining his
powers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 740 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (Revised Edition of 1915), title,
"City of Baltimore," sub-title, "Police Commissioners," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

740. There shall he appointed by the Governor immediate-
ly on the going into effect of this section, and every six years
thereafter, one discreet person, resident or engaged in busi-
ness in the City of Baltimore for three consecutive years next
preceding the day of his appointment, who shall be known as
the Police Commissioner for the City of Baltimore, and whose
term of office shall continue for six years and until his suc-
cessor is appointed and qualified. He shall be subject to
removal by the Governor for official misconduct or incompe-
tency in the manner provided by law in the case of civil
officers; he shall receive a salary of ten thousand dollars per
annum, payable quarterly. The said Commissioner shall not
he eligible to an elective or appointed office during the term
for which he was appointed. Before entering upon the duties
