WHEREAS, Many of the other States through which said
system of old trails road runs have made appropriations of
large sums of money to be used under the direction of the
said Daughters of the American Revolution in placing its
road sign upon said old trails; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the State Roads Commission be, and it is
hereby, authorized to erect upon or alongside of the road
known as the "National Old Trails Road," said road begin-
ning on the northwestern boundary of the District of Columbia
where said road connects with "Wisconsin Avenue in said
District, and running thence through the towns of Rockville,
in Montgomery County; Frederick, in Frederick County;
Hagerstown, in Washington County; Cumberland, in Alle-
gany County; Oakland, in Garrett County, and thence to
the boundary line between the States of Maryland and Penn-
sylvania, and at intervals of not more than one mile, the
"National Old Trails Road Sign" of the Daughters of the
American Revolution.

Said road sign shall consist of a substantial iron or other
metal tablet, to be painted in the colors red, white and blue,
and of such design as shall be submitted by the National Old
Trails Road Committee of Maryland, of said Daughters of
the American Revolution, and to be mounted upon an iron
post, set in cement.

CHAPTER 537.

AN ACT to authorize the United States to install a calibra-
tion range in the Potomac River.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland. That the consent of the State of Maryland be. and
the same is hereby given, for the installation by the United
States of a calibration range in the mouth of the Potomac
River along the south bank, the target moorings to be placed
at a point bearing 302 degrees thirty minutes true from Smith
Point light, distant 9,575 yards, and 154 degrees from Point
Lookout light, distant 14,825 yards, which point is to be the
center of a rectangle 2,600 yards by 2,000 yards, the firing
point to be located at a point bearing north 48 degrees west
