ty court, within the period of one. week next succeed-
ing the day of holding said election; and to forward
two copies of such certificate, under cover, to the Clerk
of the Council, one of which said copies shall be ad-
dressed to the Speaker of the House of Delegates, and
the other of which said copies shall be addressed to the
President of the Senate.

CHAP. 78.

SEC. 3. And, be it enacted, That all and so many of:
said ballots as shall have thereon, written or printed,
the word "separation," or the words "in favor of sep-
aration." shall be reckoned and considered as votes in
favor of the proposed separation of said county from
the said city; and all ballots, on which shall be writ-
ten or printed, the words "no separation," or tho
words "against separation," shall he reckoned and
considered as votes against the proposed separation of
said county from the said city, and shall be certified
accordingly by said judge or judges as aforesaid.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all the necessary and
incidental expenses which shall be incurred by the
Sheriff of Baltimore county, in performance of the du-
ties which are enjoined upon him by this act, and all
other necessary and incidental expenses, which shall
attend tho fulfilment of the provisions of this act, shall
be levied, collected and paid over, as the ordinary
county charges are levied, collected and paid over.

CHAPTER 78.


An act to authorise and empower Sarah Murray, widow
and administratrix of John Murray, late of Balti-
more County, deceased, to execute certain conveyances
therein mentioned.

Passed Jan. 31,
1837.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General
Assembly, that John Murray, late of Baltimore county,
deceased, in his life time contracted with divers per-
sons, by separate and several contracts, for the sale of
several pieces or parcels of land, and executed and de-
livered to the respective purchasers thereof his several
bonds of conveyance, conditioned in each case, for the
conveyance of the particular piece or parcel of land, in
said bond of conveyance mentioned, upon payment of
