RESOLUTIONS. 1836.

thorised in their discretion, to employ additional
Counsel to aid the Attorney General in the defence of
the suit now pending between the city of Baltimore
and Robert Lemmon one of the auctioneers in the
city of Baltimore, wherein the validity of the act of the
General Assembly of Maryland, entitled, an act, to
regulate sales by public auction, passed at Decem-
ber session, eighteen hundred and twenty-seven, chap-
ter one hundred and eleven, may be drawn into question.

Resolved, That the Governor and Council, be, and
they are hereby authorised in their discretion to employ
additional Counsel to aid the Attorney General in the
conduct of all actions, civil or criminal, which he may
deem expedient, to be instituted against all, or any
person or persons, whatsoever, for the purpose of en-
forcing the execution of the aforesaid act, entitled, an
act to regulate sales by public auction.

Resolved, That all expenses which may be incurred
in virtue of the foregoing resolutions, shall be payable
out of any unappropriated money in the Treasury.

Resolution in favor of Kitturah Wall, widow William
Wall, a soldier of the Revolution.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Kitturak
Wall, widow of William Wall, a soldier of the Revo-
lution, or to her order, ten dollars and seventy-eight
cents, being for three months and seven days pension
due her said husband at the time of his death.

Resolution in favor of George Bowers.

Resolved by. the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer ; of the Western Shore be, and he is here-
by directed to pay to George Bowers, or order, out of
any unappropriated money in the treasury, the half
