An act to authorise Samuel Jordan, former Collector of
Taxes in the sixth Election District in Baltimore
County, now Carroll County, to complete his collec-
tions.

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Samuel Jordan former Collector
of the sixth collection district of Baltimore county,
now Carroll county, be, and he is hereby authorised
and empowered to collect any taxes or balances of tax-
es now remaining due to, and uncollcctcd by him, in
the district aforesaid, in the same manner and with
the same power and privileges as are allowed by the

existing laws in said cases made and provided.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Samu-
el Jordan shall in every instance before he may pro-
ceed to the aforesaid collection, make affidavit before
some justice of the peace of said county, that the same
remain unpaid, and that he hath not received any se-
curity or satisfaction for the same, or any part there-
of more than what credits may be allowed thereon.

Limitation.
|
SEC. S. And be it enacted, That this act shall not
continue in force longer than two years from the date
of the passage thereof.

An act for the relief of John Hannah of Harford County,

convey.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That John Hannah of Harford county, be, and he is
hereby authorised to file his petition against the guar-
dian of Ellen Davis, on the equity side of Harford
county court, praying that the court would decree the
appointment of a trustee to convey all the right and
title of Ellen Davis, a minor, of in and to about forty-
eight acres, of a tract of land called Paca's Enlarge-
ment, on which he resides, lying at and near Church-
hill in Harford county, or by whatsoever name the
