An act authorising the commissioners of the tax of
Carroll county to appoint Constables and other officers
of Carroll county, and borrow money.
|

Meeting direct-
|
SECTION- 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of the tax of Car-
roll county be, and they are authorised and required to
commence their first meeting or session, at the seat of
justice of said county, on the first Monday of April
next, and continue the same as long as may be neces-
sary to do the business required to be done, and at
such first session or meeting shall and may appoint

bles, &c

constables, supervisors of roads and all other officers
by them to be appointed, and take and approve their
bonds, and the said officers appointed as aforesaid shall
hold and continue in their offices until the appointment
and qualification of their successors, and that the said

Annual appoint-
ments

commissioners thereafter shall make all their appoint-
ments of such officers annually between the first Mon-
day of April and the first Monday of September.

Loan of $2,000
authorised
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
sioners of the tax be, and they are hereby authorised
and empowered to borrow on the credit and faith of the
said county, a sum of money not exceeding two thou-
sand dollars, to be applied to the erection of public
buildings in said county and to other county purposes,
which said sum of money may be repaid out of any
money which the said commissioners are authorised to
levy.
