Council of Baltimore shall provide for a trial by jury
in all tases aforesaid, of damages or benefits.

An act to authorise the Commissioners of Baltimore
county to appoint Commissioners to build a Bridge
over the Great Gunpowder Falls, where the County
Road leading from Middletown to the Falls Boad,
crosses said Falls in Baltimore, county.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be lawful for the Commissioners of Bal-
timore county, to levy upon the assessable property of
said county, a sum of money not exceeding eight hun-
dred dollars, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over
the Great Gunpowder Falls, where the county road
leading from Middletown to the Falls Road crosses
said Falls, at or near the farm of Jacob Shumbergcr,
in said county, if they in their judgment shall deem a
bridge necessary for the public convenience, and that

it is expedient to erect the same; and in case the said
county commissioners shall deem it expedient to build
said bridge, they shall appoint three commissioners to
fix upon a site for erecting the same, at or near the
place aforesaid, and the said bridge commissioners

Bond, &c.
|
shall also contract with some person or persons for
erecting said bridge, who shall give bond with security
to the said bridge commissioners for building the same
in a good and substantial manner.
