CHAP. 153.

CHAPTER 152.

A supplement to an act to limit the sitting of the Com-
missioners of the Tax in Montgomery County, passed
at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-five,
chapter thirty-four.

Twelve day.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the general Assembly of
Maryland, That the Commissioners of the Tax, for
Montgomery county, shall sit for the purpose of hear-
ing appeals and noting transfers, on the first Monday
in April, in each and every year, and may continue to
sit for twelve days thereafter, inclusive.

Repeal

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the
act to which this is a supplement, as specifies particu-
lar days, other than the first Monday in April, for the
sitting of the commissioners aforesaid, be and they are
hereby repealed.


CHAPTER 153.

1837.

An act for the benefit of Charles Boone, late collector of
the second collection district of Anne Arundel county.

Authorised to
collect

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Charles Boone, late collector of the
second collection district of Anne Arundel county, be
and he is hereby authorised to collect until the first day
of October, eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, all
county taxes which have been placed in his bands for
collection during the time he was in office, and which
have not been collected in the same manner as he could
or might have done within the time limited by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Charles
Boone, before he proceeds to execute the property of
any person or persons for taxes now due by the autho-
rity of this act, shall deliver, or cause to be delivered,
to such person or persons chargeable with the same, at
least thirty days previous to serving or levying such
execution, a specific account of the sum demanded of
him, her or them, with an affidavit annexed thereto,
that he hath not, nor any person or persons acting un-
der him whilst collector, nor since, received any part
