156 ~ Court convenes; Commissioners present: Francis Jenckins; John Bozman (Bozeman), Thomas Dixon, Thomas Jones, John King, Stephen Horsey, Arnold Elzey; Elzey takes oath.
156 ~ John Kellam makes recommendation (unspecified) concerning Nanswango Bridge; Court orders John Porter, Hough Porter and Rowland Beavins to consult with Major William Whittington concerning the bridge and make report.in March Court.
156 ~ Robert Atkins, servant to Richard Ackworth, requests his freedom; cites Court record establishing his age as 13 on 8 June 1686, and states that he had arrived the preceding October or November; Ackworth claims Atkins has not yet served 9 years; Court orders that Atkins be free and receive his corn and clothes.
156 ~ Petition of Nicholas Cornewell concerning his servant Edward Hogg for 61 days runaway time; Hogg admits fact; Court orders additional service time per Act of Assembly.
157 ~ Charles Tindall and John Barker called three times but make no appearance; Miles Gray, security for Barker, asks for continuation till next Court; Court agrees in consideration of the bad weather; same for other security.
