45 ~ 14 November 1693 Court convenes; Commissioners present: Francis Jenckins, Thomas Jones, Capt. John King, Stephen Horsey, Arnold Elzey; Coroners called, by name, but none appear.
46 ~ Constables called; new Constables for ensuing year named: Henry Freakes for Wiccocomico William Bound for Nanticoke William Waller for Mony Samuel Johnson for Manokin Thomas Beauchamp for Annimsesex James Henderson for Pocomoke William Stevenson for Mattapony John Johnson for Bagatee Norten
46 ~ Sheriff returns list for Grand Jury: Randall Roberts, John Kirke, Edward Starkdell, Phillip Adams, Miles Gray, George Lane, Benjamin Esham, William Robinson, Edward Fowler, Edward Wheeler, Samuel Flewellen, Thomas Oxford, Alexander White, Francis Martin, Robert Polk, Robert Caldwell, Thomas Larramore; all summoned, sworn in, charged and sent forth.
46 ~ Case against Patrick Mcdonnell for fathering a bastard child of Elizabeth Hines; Mcdonnell ordered to post security to indemnify the County against any charges or trouble arising from the bastard; makes bond for £10, securities Richard Wharton, Alexander White.
46 ~ Petition of Aaron Bishopp for postponement; not granted; Robert Pirrie and Martin Trentam post £10 security for his appearance at next Court.
46 ~ Petition of John Mcknitt; complains dog of Amos Parsons has attacked cattle in the neighborhood; asks Court to intervene; Court orders Parsons to appear next day in Court; summons Henry Miles and James Wallis as evidences for Mcknitt.
47 ~ Case against Frances Williams, spinster, for fornication and bearing a bastard; charges made by Peter Dent, Clerk of Presentments; Williams confesses and identifies Daniel Lisney as the father, now departed from the County; Court orders that she be given 21 lashes and post security; John Cullen makes Bond for £10 to indemnify the County on behalf of Frances Williams; Thomas Jones assumes to pay the fees.
47 ~ Randall Revell requests payment for 18 days attendance at Court, case of Andrew Whittington vs. John Richards.
47 ~ Affadavit of Thomas Wilson, John Richens, Edward Wright, planters living on Barren Creek, grants James Weatherly right to use timber or earth from their properties, as needed for construction of a mill on Barren Creek; dated 10 October 1693; witnessed by Robert Bowdith, Richard Ackworth, John Gilles.
47 ~ Court adjourns for the day.
