6 ~ Court convenes; Commissioners present; Francis Jenckins, Thomas Newbold, Samuel Hopkins, Thomas Jones, Capt. John King, Stephen Horsey, Arnold Elzey.
6 ~ Petition of William Lawrence to have fine for non-appearance as juror in last court remitted; says his wife gave birth to a child at the time and no one else was available to look after his family; granted.
6 ~ Case against Thomas Quillaine (Quillane) for attempted rape of Margaret Gallaher on 26 June; several documents entered in record: warrant signed by Thomas Newbold; bond on Quillane for £20 to appear in court, security John Broughton (Broton); bond on Margaret Gallaher dated 21 June 1693 to make presentment against Quillane; describes her being accosted by Quillane in swamp near Daniel Dennahoe’s (Dunnahoe) house.
6 ~ Quillane pleads not guilty; 15 evidences called to testify; Court rules Quillane was falsely accused, orders that Gallaher receive 20 lashes; administered forthwith. Court also orders that Gallaher make security for good behavior and leave Daniel Dennahoe’s after harvest; Gallaher makes bond for £20, securities Jonathan Towers, Edward Wheeler.
8 ~ Daniel Dennahoe appears concerning case against Quillane; Court finds him in contempt for not allowing his wife to appear as evidence; Dennahoe fined; posts £7 bond for good behavior and to ensure that Margaret Gallaher leave his plantation after harvest, and he not be seen privately in her company.
8 ~ Case against Mary Simpson for fornication and bearing a bastard; admits guilt and identifies by Aaron Bishopp as the father; Court fines her 25 days work and orders summons for Bishopp; bond on James Gray for £10 to ensure that Simpson perform her 25 days work and appear against Bishopp .
9 ~ Cases against Samuel Alexander and Edmund Howard dismissed; to pay fees.
9 ~ Petition of John Cushaw, free negro aged 84, to be tax free; not granted.
9 ~ Petition of Robert Pirrie to be admitted as attorney; granted; Pirrie sworn as attorney.
9 ~ Petition of Martin Custis against Capt. William Whittington, Admn of estate of Capt. William Osbourne, for payment of debt of 633 lbs/tbco (as above); no decision by Court.
10 ~ Case against Elizabeth Reed for bearing a bastard child, now deceased; admits guilt and identifies Robert Blades as the father; fined 30 days work; posts bond of £20 for good behavior and to refrain from company of Robert Blades; security John Perkins.
10 ~ Robert Blades ordered to post bond of £20 for his good behavior and to part company with Elizabeth Reed; security Peter Dent.
10 ~ Petition of Margaret Drue, servant of Capt Henry Smith; complains that Smith has beaten and abused her and asks redress; Smith accuses Drue of running away for 41 days; Court finds for Smith, against Drue.
11 ~ Petition of Richard Farewell that Court order estate of Robert Doux pay hin 276 lbs/tbco; presents account dated 18 July 1688, signed by John Loder; Court orders adminstrator pay as requested.
11 ~ Petition of Michael Holland to have new road moved about 40 or 50 feet; granted; Court stipulates the road to be 20 feet wide and passable by horse or foot; Thomas Jones dissents.
11 ~ Bond of £10 on Samuel Worthington to have Hannah Hales appear in Court following day to answer to Capt. Henry Smith.

11 ~ Sherif brings James Weatherly into Court for being drunk and swearing at Court and at Andrew Whittington (innkeeper); fined and ordered to make bond for £10 for good behavior; Andrew Whittington security.
12 ~ Petition of John Cropper to be given possession of plantation which he inherited from his father, as proven in previous Court (See 1692-93, f: 229); Court considers it does not have jurisdiction.
12 ~ Col. David Browne, Pltf. Vs. Robert Catling, Deft. for debt of 148½ lbs/pork; John Strawbridge attorney for Browne presents bond for 500 lbs/tbco signed by Catling 5 October 1691, promising to delivery to Browne’s house; witnesses Richard Webb & James Smith; Catling admits debt; Court orders payment, with costs.
13 ~ Edward Green, Pltf. vs. James Maynard, Deft. for debt of £9; Peter Dent, attorney for Green, presents note signed 19 August 1692 by Maynard, to pay in sterling or pieces of eight (piece of eight = 4 shillings & sixpence), witnesses John Patrick, John Handson; Samuel Alexander, for Maynard, admits debt; Court orders payment, with costs.
13 ~ William Brittingham of Accomac, Pltf. vs. Thomas Clifton, cordwinder, Deft. for 20 pairs of shoes; Peter Dent, attorney for Brittingham, presents note signed 28 May 1692 by Clifton promising delivery of 20 pairs “mens French fall shoes”, witnessed by Samuel Collins and Thomas Clifton; Samuel Alexander, for Clifton, admits debt; Court orders payment, with costs.
14 ~ Court adjourns for the day.
