ADDENDA

 

249 ~  Deed of gift dated 1 August 1693: Martha Light, widow, to her daughter, Mary Light, for one cow and calf; witnesses: Martin Curtis, John Purnell; entered on record 8 August 1693.

 

249 ~  Affadavit of Mrs Comfort Scott from 17 February 1692/3 presented by Matthew Scarbrough; states that Robert Howard had lived for 7 or 8 years on plantation at St. Martins belonging to her orphan son Wrixam White; was asked several times to leave but will not, or agree to pay rent, claiming he had been put there by Colonel David Browne; further he will not give account of the livestock on land belonging to the White; Court orders Howard be summoned to appear.
