Note: The Governor’s appointees, Barkstead and Green, were strongly opposed by the Somerset Commissioners who returned a letter to him voicing their complaints. See below, f.115.

104 ~ Bond on John West, Stephen Horsey and William Coulbourne to Thomas Lawrence, Secretary of the Province, for 50,000 lbs/tbco, to ensure that West keep an accurate account as Clerk of Somerset and send Lawrence his 1/10th part of fees; dated 22 October 1692.

107 ~ Account of estate of John Galbraith, deceased; proved by Maj. Robert King, totaling £404/03/00.
108 ~ Claim against estate of John Galbraith by Henry Lynch for 370 lbs/tbco.
108 ~ Petition of Hannah Holland against Edmund Beauchamp for balance due for her one year of service, agreed to be 600 lbs tobacco and 2 new shifts; granted.
