with amendments; and Chapter 363 of the Acts of 1904,
entitled An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments
section 165 of Article §3 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Wicomico County, " sub-title "Sharp-
town, " relating to appointment of a clerk.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 163 of Chapter 635 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1912, entitled An Act to
repeal Section 169 to Section 177, inclusive, of Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Wicomico County, " sub-
title "Sharptown, " and all amendments and additions thereto,
and to repeal Chapter 421 of the Acts of 1894, entitled An;
Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sections 167 and
168 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Wicomico County. " sub-title "Sharptown, " and to add an
additional section thereto, to be designated as 167A; and Chap-
ter 336 of the Acts of 1902, entitled An Act to repeal section
161 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Wicomico County, " sub-title "Sharptown, " relating to elec-
tion of commissioners; also to repeal section 167 of Article 23
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Wicomico County, "
sub-title "Sharptown, " relating to powers and duties of the
commissioners, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 421 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, January Ses-
sion of 1894, and to re-enact the same with amendments; and
Chapter 363 of the Acts of 1904, entitled An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments Section 165 of Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico
County, " sub-title "Sharptown, " relating to appointment of a
clerk, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with,
amendments so as to read as follows:
Section 163. The male citizens of Sharptown, who have
resided within the corporate limits of said town for the twelve
months next preceding any local election, and who were quali-
fied voters at the last preceding State or Congressional elec-
tion, shall, on the first Saturday in December, 1916, and on
the first Saturday in December of every second year thereafter,
elect by ballot five persons to be commissioners; and said com-
missioners before they enter upon the duties of their office shall
make oath before a justice of the peace or a notary public of
the State of Maryland in and for Wicomico County that they
will diligently and faithfully without partiality, favor or preju-
