and they are hereby appointed Codifiers to prepare and submit
to the next General Assembly a Code of Public Local Laws of
Frederick County, Maryland, including the acts passed at this
session.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That at least four months
before the meeting of the next General Assembly, the Code so
prepared shall 'be submitted to the Judges of the Circuit Court
of Frederick County, whose duty shall be to examine carefully
and critically the work so submitted, and report to the next
General Assembly in the first week of its session, the result of
their examination, with such comments and recommendations
as they may deem pertinent and proper; and for their services
the said Edgar H. McBride and William M. Storm shall to-
gether be paid three hundred dollars, and the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick County are hereby authorized and directed
to levy for a sufficient sum of money to pay the said Edgar H.
McBride and William M. Storm and for the printing and bind-
ing one hundred copies of said Code of Public Local Laws.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the first day of June, 1916.

CHAPTER 461.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of St.
Michaels to erect, construct, equip, maintain and operate an
Electric Light and power plant, for the purpose of lighting
the streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, squares, and ways of the
town of St. Michaels, and vicinity, and for other municipal
purposes; and for supplying light, heat and power to the
citizens of St. Michaels and vicinity, and to borrow on the
faith and credit of said town Eight Thousand Dollars
($8, 000), and to issue notes, or bonds, or other evidences
of indebtedness therefor, and to provide for the payment of
the same with interest thereon.
