and act upon such other matters as may properly come under
the provisions of this sub-title; provided that the Mayor may
call additional special meetings of the local Board of Health
when in his judgment it shall become necessary. The said local
Board of Health shall act in conjunction with the State Board
of Health, and shall report or cause to be reported to said
Board any unusual epidemic or the prevalence of any infec-
tious disease and such other facts in reference to the sanitary
condition of the City as they may deem important or necessary.
And in case of any unusual epidemic or the prevalence of any
infectious disease, the County Board of Health shall take
charge of the situation and take the necessary and proper steps
to control the same, whenever notified by the City Board of
Health to do so, under and by virtue of the provisions of the
Annotated Code, Art. 43, Sec. 40.

Section 100a. Such local Board of Health shall appoint in
the month of June, 1916, and every two years thereafter, or as
soon thereafter as practicable, a city health officer; a successor
shall be appointed by the local Board of Health as soon as prac-
ticable; the city health officer shall hold office for two years
from the date of his appointment, but may be removed by the
State Board of Health for cause upon charges made and con-
sidered at a regular meeting of said Board.

Section 100b. Such health officer shall maintain in Crisfield
an office where shall be kept all the records and data pertaining
to his duties under this charter, and which records and data
shall belong to the Mayor and Council of Crisfield. He shall
meet with and report to the Mayor and Council at the regular
or special meetings of said Mayor and Council as a Board of
Health, as hereinbefore provided and shall keep minutes of
such meetings; he shall be ex-officio Local Register of vital
statistics for the City of Crisfield, and shall receive an annual
salary as fixed by the Mayor and Council.

AN ACT to provide for the preparation of a Code of Public
Local Laws of Frederick County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
