any ordinance of said town shall be tried, shall be entitled to
receive the same fees as a Justice of the Peace would receive
for similar services.

If any offender shall be in default for the non-payment of
any fine and costs imposed, he may be proceeded against in a
civil action in the name of the Mayor and Council of Bruns-
wick in the same manner as suits are brought in this State, to
recover small debts.

The Police Justice shall be furnished with copies of the
ordinances of the town, and shall keep a separate docket for
Corporation cases and therein shall record and make regular
entries of his proceedings in all such cases, setting forth the
fine or imprisonment imposed and the amount of costs, and
he shall submit said docket to the inspection of any person
who may request to see the same; and upon demand of any
person interested he shall deliver a copy of any judgment ren-
dered by him. It shall be duty of said Justice to make out ia
summarized report of all corporation cases and all cases for
the violation of any ordinances of the town of Brunswick
heard or tried before him during the preceding month, which
said report shall state in each and every case, the name of the
defendant, the offense charged, the name of the persons upon
whose complaint the warrant was issued, the number of wit-
nesses summoned, the name and official capacity of the officer
serving the warrant, and summons, the judgment rendered,
the amount of fine or penalty imposed, the amount of costs
taxed which shall include all constable's costs and constable's
fees, where process is served by police officers acting with
authority of constables and the amount of fines and costs col-
lected by him, which said report shall be submitted monthly
to the Mayor and Council. Upon the request of the Council
the said Justice shall produce his docket and may be placed
under oath and interrogated as to the entries therein. He shall
pay over to the Clerk and Treasurer of the Mayor and Council,
promptly, all fines and costs imposed and collected by him, and
shall issue written orders to the Clerk and Treasurer for the
payment of all fees and costs in all corporation cases tried by
him, and said fines shall be a part of the revenue of the town.

If the Police Justice neglects to discharge any of the duties
imposed upon him by this act, or refuses to pay over the fines
and costs collected by him, as herein directed, he shall be liable
to indictment in the Circuit Court for Frederick County, and
upon conviction he shall be fined the sum of fifty dollars or
