ager or other authorized agent to state an account for the keep-
ing, or for the labor, repairs, sundries, oils or gasoline fur-
nished for any such automobile, truck or other motor. vehicle,
and prove the same before a Justice of the Peace in and for the
County of Frederick, who upon being satisfied by proof of
demand and refusal or neglect to pay on the part of the owner,
shall thereupon issue his warrant authorizing such sale as
aforesaid.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the 1st day of June, 1916.

CHAPTER 452.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 12
of Chapter 652 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1894, entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Town of Burkitteville, in Frederick Co. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 12 of Chapter 652 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1894, entitled "An Act to
incorporate the Town of Burkittsville, in Frederick Co., " be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to be and read as follows, to wit:

12. And be it enacted, That any fines, penalties and for-
feitures imposed by this Charter, or by any ordinance of the
commissioners, may be collected by proceedings in the name of
the Commissioners before a burgess, and the burgess shall have
power to commit the offender to the County Jail on failure to
pay such fine and forfeitures until the same shall be paid with
costs.

And the said burgess shall be elected by the male citizens
of Burkittsville, Maryland, as all other officers provided by
this Act are elected.

Approved April 11th, 1916.
