said David U. Schildtknecht, in his lifetime being a school
teacher in Frederick County; and to direct the County Com-
missioners of Frederick County to levy therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Cordelia D. Schildtknecht be granted a pen-
sion by the County Commissioners of Frederick County, of
One Hundred Dollars per annum to be paid quarterly by the
County Treasurer, and the County Commissioners are hereby
directed to levy annually a sum sufficient to cover the provi-
sions of this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect the 1st day of June, 1916.

Approved April 11th, 1916.

CHAPTER 441.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 770 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland passed at the January Session 1912,
title "An Act to repeal Chapter 720 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session
1910, title 'Charles County, ' sub-title 'La Plata, ' " and to
re-enact the following in lieu thereof; and to submit this
Act to the registered and qualified voters of the town of
La Plata for their acceptance or rejectance as the Charter
of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 770 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1912,
titled "An Act to repeal Chapter 720 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session
1910, title 'Charles County, ' sub-title 'La Plata, '" be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows; provided that the question, whether or not this Act
shall become the Charter of said Town by submitting the ques-
tion "For New Charter" and "Against New Charter, " be sub-
mitted to the registered and qualified voters of the town of La
Plata at a special election to be held therein on the first Mon-
day in June, 1916, for the purpose of determining said ques-
tion in accordance with the laws and regulations governing
the holding of elections in said town for the election of town
