CHAPTER 424.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 13, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Harford County, " sub-title "Coun-
ty Commissioners, " to be known as Sections 58d and 58e, to
follow immediately after 58c, providing for the division of
Harford County into five commissioner districts and for the
nomination and election of said Commissioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That two new Sections be added to Article 13 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford County, " sub-
title "County Commissioners, " to follow immediately after
Section. 58c; to be known as Sections 58d and 58e, and to read
as follows:

Section 58d. Harford County is hereby divided into five
districts to be known as Commissioner Districts, said districts
to be as follows: The First Election District as now consti-
tuted shall constitute and be Commissioner District No. 1 of
said County; the Second and Sixth Election Districts, as now
constituted shall constitute and be Commissioner District No.
2 of said County; the Third Election District, as now consti-
tuted shall constitute and be Commissioner District No. 3 of
said County; the Fourth Election District, as now constituted
shall constitute and be Commissioner District No. 4 of said
County, and the Fifth Election District, as now constituted
shall constitute and be Commissioner District No. 5 of said
County. Five persons who shall be residents, voters and tax-
payers of Harford County shall be elected by the qualified
voters of Harford County, and the five persons so elected shall
compose and constitute the Board of County Commissioners
of Harford County. In the event of a vacancy, caused by
death, resignation or otherwise, the person appointed to serve
as his successor shall be a registered voter; resident and tax-
payer of Harford County.

Section 58e. That the Board of Supervisors of Election of
Harford County, prior to any Primary Election. at which Can-
didates for the office of County Commissioner for Harford
County may bo selected, shall require that each Candidate for
the office of County Commissioner of Harford County, shall
in addition to the other statements, required by law, embody
in his certificate of nomination a statement that he is an actual
resident of the Election District of Harford County, of which
he claims to be a registered voter, and in preparing the official
