indexing, said work not to cost more than five cents per name
as indexed and that the Board of County Commissioners for
Talbot Company be and they are hereby authorized and di-
rected to levy upon the taxable property of said County a sum
of money sufficient to pay the costs and expenses, of making
such index and that they pay over the same to the Clerk upon
his certificate that the work has been done and showing the
number of names indexed.

CHAPTER 403.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 244
of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dor-
chester County, " sub-title "Oysters, " and to repeal and re-
enact with amendments Section 155 of Article 21 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot County, " sub-title
"Oysters, " as said sections were repealed and re-enacted
with amendments by the Acts of 1900, Chapter 674, and
the Acts of 1902, Chapter 180, said Sections being co-
ordinate sections of said Articles, applicable to the waters
of Choptank river in common between Dorchester and.. Tal-
bot counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 244 of Article 10 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dorchester County, " sub-
title "Oysters, " and section 155 of Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County, " sub-
title "Oysters, " as said sections were repealed and re-enacted
with amendments by the Acts of 1900, Chapter 674, and the
Acts of 1902, Chapter 180, said sections being co-ordinate sec-
tions of said Articles in relation to the taking of oysters in the
waters in common between Dorchester and Talbot Counties,
be and said sections are hereby severally repealed and re-en-
acted with amendments so as to read, respectively, as follows:
Section 244 of Article 10, and Section 155 of Article 21.
The Clerks of the Circuit Courts for Talbot and Dorchester
counties, respectively, shall, upon application of the managing
owner, who has been a resident of the county in which he shall
apply for one year next preceding such application, and to no
other person, issue a license to such resident to employ his
