of the Peace of said County, pay a fine of not less than Fifty
($50. 00) Dollars, nor more than Three Hundred ($300. 00)
Dollars for the first offense and for all subsequent offenses
shall be confined in the Maryland House of Correction for not
less than six months.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, nineteen hundred and sixteen.

CHAPTER 390.

AN ACT to sanction the holding by the Lutheran and Re-
formed Congregations of Utica, in Frederick County, Mary-
land, of certain ground for burial purposes, known as the
Utica Cemetery, and to provide for the care and manage-
ment of said Utica Cemetery.

WHEREAS, the Lutheran and Reformed Congregations of
Utica, in Frederick County, Maryland, both of which are
bodies corporate of the State of Maryland, have since their
organization and existence acquired several parcels of land, to
be used as a cemetery, which is known as the Utica Cemetery,
and the said corporations now desire to place the said land
under a management separate from that of the other affairs of
the aforesaid corporations. Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the acquiring and holding by the Lutheran
and Reformed Congregations of Utica, in Frederick County,
Maryland, of certain lands for burial purposes, known as the
Utica Cemetery, be and the same is hereby ratified and con-
firmed, and that the management and control of said cemetery
shall be separate from the management of the other affairs of
the aforesaid congregations, except as hereinafter provided.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the management and
control of the said Utica Cemetery be, after the date when this
Act becomes effective, placed in tie hands of a Board of Man-
agers, consisting of eight members, four of whom shall be
selected by the Lutheran Congregation of Utica as soon as
practicable after the passage of this Act, two of whom shall
serve until June 1st, 1918, and two of whom shall serve until
June 1st, 1920; and the remaining four of said Board of Man-
