SEC. 44-D. The Justices of the Peace for Harford County
shall make a report of and pay over at the end of each month
all moneys or funds received by them for licenses as herein
provided, to the Chief Game Warden of Harford County, whose
appointment is hereinafter provided for in this Act, which
moneys shall be expended by said Chief Game Warden as herein-
after provided for; and any Justice of the Peace failing to make
a report and turn over the money received for the issuance of
licenses at the end of each month, as provided in this Section,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined not less than ten dollars nor more than twenty-
five dollars, together with the costs of prosecution for each and
every offense.

SEC. 44-E. There is hereby created a Game Warden for
Harford County to be called the Chief Game Warden of Har-
ford County, who shall hold his office for a term of two years
commencing on the first Monday of June next succeeding his
appointment or until his successor shall have been appointed
and qualified, and the person so appointed as Chief Game War-
den shall have been a resident and voter in said Harford County
for not less than two years next preceding his appointment.
The Game Warden created by this Act shall be J. Nathan Dean,
who shall serve for two years from the first Monday in June,
1916; and on the first Monday in June, 1918, or as soon there-
after as practicable, and every two years thereafter, the County
Commissioners of Harford County shall appoint a Chief Game
Warden for the County, who shall be recommended to them in
writing by the Harford County Game and Fish Protective
Association (incorporated February 21, 1916), but in the event
of the failure of the said Game and Fish Protective Associa-
tion to recommend a person for said appointment, said Com-
missioners shall appoint some suitable person on their own
motion as Chief Game Warden. The said Game Warden shall
receive a salary of Six Hundred Dollars a year to be retained
by him from monies coming into his hands from the issuance
of hunting licenses and the collection of fines for the violation
of the Fish and Game Laws of Harford County. And he shall
be allowed for printing notices, forms of licenses to be issued
as aforesaid, office rent and other necessary office expenses, to
be paid out of the receipts aforesaid, not exceeding, however,
the sum of Three Hundred Dollars a year; and he shall also
be allowed reasonable counsel fees when in his judgment it shall
be necessary to employ counsel to enforce the provisions of this
