quarterly any appearance of their fee, taxed as parts of the
costs payable to the State's Attorney in any criminal cases.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
and the salary herein provided shall begin at the end of the
term for which the present State's Attorney was elected on the
second day of November, 1915.

CHAPTER 299.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1 to 16 both inclusive of Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title "Almshouse, " and to re-enact, with
amendments, Sections 1 to 7 of said Article 17 making the
County Commissioners1 of Prince George's County Trustees
of the Poor in Prince George's County, defining the powers,
duties and responsibilities of such trustees, vesting in them
certain properties of the County, and providing for the levy
of a fund to be used by said Trustees of the Poor in Prince
George's County for the support of the indigent sick and
poor of said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, Sections 1 to 16 both inclusive of Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's County, " sub-
title "Almshouse, " be and the same are hereby repealed and
Sections 1 to 7 of said Article 17, be and they are hereby re-
enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 1. The County Commissioners of Prince George's
County are hereby constituted Trustees of the Poor in Prince
George's County, Maryland, and, as such, are made a body cor-
porate with power to contract and be contracted with, sue and;
be sued, take and hold any property, cash, donation or present
which may be given, devised or bequeathed by any person to
them for the support and maintenance of the poor of said
County and may purchase and hold and convey any lands or
tenements for the carrying out of the purposes for which they

are created.

SEC. 2. The Trustees of the Poor in Prince George's County,
shall meet on the first Tuesday in June, 1916, and every two
