WHEREAS, The taxable wealth of Calvert County is so small
that a levy of 27 cents on each, $100 would be required to raise
the sum of $10, 000 necessary to construct a modest high school
' building; Therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer of
the State in favor of the Treasurer of the Board of County
School Commissioners of Calvert County for the fiscal years of
1916 and 1917 for the sum of five thousand dollars for each of the
fiscal years aforesaid; the same to be paid out of the receipts
from the public school tax, before making the regular apportion-
ment of same; provided that no part of said appropriation be
expended for any purpose other than the construction of a high
school building in said County.
SEC. 2. The location of the high school shall be made by the
School Commissioners of Calvert County with the approval of
the Superintendent of the State Board of Education.

CHAPTER 296.
AN ACT authorizing and directing the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to issue bonds to an amount not to
exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000) for the purpose
of building, improving and relocating a portion of the pub-
lic road known as the Dickerson-Martinsburg Road from the
Monocacy School House Corner by way of the Iron Ridge
Road to the Poolesville-White's Ferry Road at C. S. Field's
store, a distance of about five miles; provided, that certain
donations be made, as hereinafter provided, to the said
County Commissioners to be applied by them for the pur-
poses herein; and to collect and levy taxes in the Third Elec-
tion district of said County for the payment of said bonds
and interest coupons thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County be and they are hereby authorized and directed to issue
bonds in an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars
