identity being established to the satisfaction of the majority
of the board of registry, to make, alter or strike out any entry
in the column headed "party affiliations" opposite his name
in the registry; it shall be the duty of the board of registry
to enter in the column headed " remarks" the fact that such
entry was made, altered or stricken out, and the date thereof.

Any registered voter who has declined to affiliate with any
political party and opposite whose name under the column
"party affiliation" is written the word "declined, " or the word
"independent" or any other word showing a failure to affiliate
with any political party, and who has not appeared before the
board of registry as hereinbefore set forth and affiliated with
some political party prior to the primary election shall not be
permitted to vote at such primary election or any subsequent
primary election until he has so affiliated with the party in
whose primary he desires to vote.

CHAPTER 293.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 33 of the Code of
Public Civil Laws, titled "Elections, " sub-title "Ballots and
Ballot Boxes, " to be known as Section 63-A, and to apply
only to Election Districts numbers four, five and eleven of
Wicomico County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be added to Article 33 of the Code
of Public Civil Laws, titled "Elections, " sub-title "Ballots and
Ballot Boxes, " and to be known as Section 63-A, and to read
as follows:

SEC. 63-A. The polling places in Election Districts num-
bers four, five and eleven of Wicomico County, Maryland, at
General and Primary Elections shall be opened by the Judges
of Election at six o'clock in the morning and shall be kept
open until six o'clock in the evening of the same day, at
which time the polls shall be closed. And said Section 63 of
this Article shall apply to the holding of General and Primary
Elections in said districts in so far as same is not in conflict
with the provisions of this Section.
