deem such advertisement advisable, giving reasonable notice of
the time of such sale and inviting sealed proposals for the pur-
chase of said bonds, so to be issued, with the privilege to the said
County Commissioners of rejecting any and all bids; that the
said bonds shall be exempt from County and Municipal taxa-
tion; and that the said County Commissioners shall keep a
record of said bonds in a registry of bonds, giving the name or
names of the purchasers and the amount realized.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the proceeds arising from
the sale of the said bonds shall be paid over by the County
Commissioners to the Board of County School Commissioners
of Dorchester County, for the purpose of purchasing land
for public school sites, when needed, and erecting new school
houses, or repairing, renovating or enlarging the existing
school houses in Dorchester County as provided in this Act and
for no other purpose. Said sum of thirty-five thousand dollars
shall be expended by the said Board of County School Commis-
sioners as follows: Twenty-three thousand dollars for the
erecting of two public school buildings in the town of Cam-
bridge, and for the purchase of necessary land, if any may be
required, upon which said school buildings are to be erected;
five thousand dollars for the repairs of such school buildings,
including school buildings for colored children, in said town of
Cambridge; and the sum of seven thousand dollars for the
erection of additions to school buildings in Dorchester County,
outside of Cambridge, if any may be required, including neces-
sary repairs to school buildings beyond the limits of the town
of Cambridge. And for the purpose of acquiring title to such
lands as may, in the judgment of said Board of County School
Commissioners, be necessary, the said Board of County School
Commissioners are, by this Act, empowered under the laws of
this State to proceed by condemnation proceedings for acquisi-
tion of the title thereto.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the purchasing of land
for the location of new public school buildings when neces-
sary, and the erection of new public school buildings and re-
pairing, renovating or enlarging old public school buildings in
the town of Cambridge and Dorchester County, as provided in
this Act shall be under the charge, control and supervision of a
Building Committee to consist of five discreet and conservative
men, who shall be citizens of Dorchester County, and two of
whom shall be appointed by the County School Board of Dor-
chester County, two by the County Commissioners of Dorchester
